Each new year always brings its own share of excitement.  Whether it’s new gadgets, new fashion or a new phase in life, there is always something to look forward to with the coming new year.  For auto fans, however, nothing is more exciting than the unveiling of the newest models of their favorite cars.  2012 is proving to be no exception to this rule as information about the new 2012 cars has been slowly released over the past few months.  The new car models for 2012 are promising to improve upon what they’ve done right, correct what they’ve done wrong and offer their owners a modern driving experience that is unparalleled by models of the past.  There are a lot of new cars coming out very soon and this article will list some of the very best.

The new Toyota Camry

It would be a bit of an exaggeration to say that the Toyota Camry was one of the most hotly anticipated new 2012 cars.  Generally known as a good midsized sedan, the Camry isn’t exactly the sexiest ride on the road.  This, however, doesn’t keep it from being one of the best new cars of 2012.  While its exterior may not do much for those auto fans who are fond of sleek sports car designs, the interior of the new Camry is much different from its duller predecessors.  The design, material and layout of the new Camry’s interior shows that Toyota is conscious of consumers’ demand for a luxurious yet affordable driving experience.

What really makes the Camry stand out from the other best cars 2012 is bring with it is its driving experience.  The body itself seems much more rigid and well constructed than previous models.  Noise and vibration have been noticeably reduced and the vehicle feels more cohesive over rough terrain.  Keeping in line with other new cars in 2012, the new Camry has managed to drop over 100 lbs which helps lend to its fuel efficiency.  Over all, the new Camry is easily among one of the best cars 2012 is bringing.  The interior is luxurious and the ride is smooth as can be even if the exterior is a bit conservative.

2012 Ford Focus

 
Ford has long been a name that auto fans could always trust to bring something new and exciting to the game.  The new Ford Focus is continuing this tradition and is giving Ford fans something to be excited about.  The exterior comes in a number of different colors and offers a sleek overall shape with modern lines that add to its aerodynamic versatility.  While the Focus is nice to look at, it’s the interior that put it on the list of the best cars of 2012.

The overall design of the interior shows us why Ford has no trouble competing with the other new 2012 cars.  The fabric, comfort and layout are all very luxurious but the Focus is also a thoroughly modern vehicle with all of the technology that modern technophiles demand.  With the ability to plug in any number of devices, get directions no matter where you are and the optional MyFord Touch Technology package, the Focus is a vehicle that feels far ahead of its time.


2012 Honda Civic

 The Honda Civic has been a popular car for a long time now.  Some auto fans are so vehemently dedicated to the Civic that they have never owned anything else.  No list of the best new car models for 2012 would be complete without a mention of the new Civic.  The exterior of the new Civic isn’t a far departure from previous models but the interior is competitive, if not breath taking.  Auto fans know that a car is about more than looks, however, and this is where the new Civic gets on the list of best new 2012 cars.

Fuel economy is a big issue these days and Honda has done all it can to increase fuel efficiency.  The standard model offers a great 41 miles per gallon which means you won’t be filling up as often.  Following a trend in many of the cars 2012 is bringing, Honda is also releasing a hybrid model of the Civic which bumps its fuel efficiency to 44 miles per gallon.  With its 140 horsepower, the new Civic is still a powerful car packed into an affordable and efficient package.

2012 Hyundai Elantra

Some people may be a bit surprised to find the Elantra on the list of the best cars of 2012 but a quick look over its design and specs should quiet any argument.  Hyundai has built their new Elantra with three main things in mind; performance, safety and appearance.  On the performance side we find that the new Elantra is offering an impressive 29 miles per gallon city and 41 miles per gallon highway which puts it on par with other new 2012 cars.  The six speed transmission, coupled with the four cylinder engine, allows the Elantra to boast the best power to weight rating in its class.

Hyundai has also increased its focus on safety.  The new 2012 models come with six separate air bags, anti lock brakes and the high tech new Vehicle Stability Management system which works to keep the tires on the road.  The visual design of the Elantra, however, is what really makes it stand out from the other new cars in 2012.  The exterior is as sexy as can be, with a sleek body and flowing modern lines which camouflage a modern intake system.  The interior is equally as impressive and gives the ride a feeling of expensive luxury.
